You’ve got four months to learn Spanish, gringo!

A big year for the Super Bowl is set for this upcoming February. It will be the sixtieth anniversary of the largest football game in America, where statistics report that anywhere from 64-75% of Americans watch or plan to watch each year with their friends and family. Along with the commercials, the halftime show is one of the biggest draws to watching the game. Especially for people who are not avid football watchers. So, who has the Super Bowl organizers chosen as the performer for the biggest show in America at a milestone year? No other than Puerto Rican singer Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, professionally known as Bad Bunny.

Bad Bunny has beefed with Trump over the years, with one of his biggest issues being how Trump has hammered down on illegal border crossers. He refused to tour in the U.S. because of ICE raids, and in his music video for his song “Nuevayol,” he features the Puerto Rican flag flying over the forehead of the statue of liberty as well as an antiwhite voice message that sounds like Trump over a radio saying “I made a mistake. I want to apologize to the immigrants in America. I want to say that this country is nothing without the immigrants. This country is nothing without Mexicans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans …” But perhaps the most antiwhite and provocative things he has done were not aimed at Trump specifically, but at every White American. During a recent appearance on SNL he spoke on his upcoming performance, speaking in Spanish for part of it, and then finishing it out by saying in English: “If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn.”

This has been upsetting and angering for many Westmen. White people in America, and across the rest of the West, are feeling the pressure of White erasure as it sweeps the nation. What was once an entertaining show for the most beloved sport in America has become a display of antiwhite propaganda. Thankfully, there is some action being taken against this. Turning Point USA, the organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk, has proposed an “all-American” alternative half-time show that would celebrate “faith, family, and freedom” In taking suggestions for genres, they listed “anything in English” as one of their options. Taking a jab at Bad Bunny for performing songs with Spanish lyrics at an American show.

No details have been confirmed or released about the show yet, but it is positive to see pushback against Bad Bunny’s performance. My hope for TPUSA is that they focus on and name antiwhitism as a reason for putting on another show. We have to be courageous enough to call out our victimization by name before every half-time show is in foreign tongue.
